A native New Yorker and former classical dancer, Sharon Willa Greco lives in France in the heart of Provence. She has been in love with glass since her youth. In 2004 Sharon discovered lampwork and went to Copenhagen to learn more. Her first lampwork teacher was Lise Aagaard, the creator of the world renowned Troll bracelets.
While waiting for her own studio to be built, she studied fusing and slumping with Laetitia Briend, co-director of La Fonderie de Verre in Brittany, France.
Many years of practice and self-teaching followed. In 2012 she had the opportunity to take classes with one of the worlds most renowned lampwork glass artists, Kristina Logan. This rich experience led to a position as teachers assistant for Kristina at a prestigious Corning Museum of Glass workshop.
Sharon's work is currently on display at her studio in Provence.
